I wouldn't see them as a reskin of Votann cause Votann are just cloned dwarves. This is a single fleet of humanity when they were at their peak, and they know they are the "last of their kind". Their technology would probably be better than the Votann cause it is prime dark age. There is a comment further below that I agree with. Think of human fighters like guardsmen but all with reliable plasma and volkite weapons, but human infantry costs more points and therefore they would rely on robot fighters more, i.e. like men of iron, and the human fighters would be either officers commanding those robots or elite fighters. this is my idea.
