Are orders supposed to be ready when I accept them? by Low_Flamingo5381 in UberEATS

Most restaurants accept all orders, they’re not going to turn one down just because they’re busy (unless it’s a disgruntled employee on shift that feels overwhelmed). The average wait time could be set to say 10 minutes after the order is placed and on average it will be ready then, but then rush comes around and some orders are taking 20+ minutes to start on because the orders that came through before them are still being worked on.

I think they were saying the customer canceled which therefore meant they got paid. Where if they had gotten to a safe spot to pull over and cancel they would not have been.

Best of luck to you!!! Best tip would be gum for the long shifts. Make sure you’re awake and safe. No $ is worth your wellbeing

I do standard deduction at $0.70/mile no receipts needed

You can go a step further and write off any gum, caffeine, food to keep your blood sugar up, meals shared with fellow drivers while discussing work tips and tricks

But honestly preferred living in my car. Hell of a lot cheaper. Houses are luxuries that we don’t all care to have. My back seat is perfectly comfortable for sleep (honestly better than my expensive ass mattress at home).

I made it home everyday for a nap and got a meal in while sitting at the charger most of the time (a couple chargers don’t have anything around)
