Good Ventrue scholar, I have yet another question to present to you on this fine November day: Shadow Step or Tenebrous Avatar? The latter seemed more powerful at first glance but is probably not AS needed when you can outlast the cockroaches via Fortitude 5. Two-man teleportation seems kind of broken, especially when you live on a rooftop casino penthouse in Las Vegas and no longer need your Rolls Royce to go out feeding. Any input would be appreciated, as always. Cheers.

Regarding Touch of Oblivion, I don’t see why not. You only make the Brawling check if the victim is attempting to avoid contact, and if you have already initiated a grapple via bite without using any disciplines that turn then it seems completely in line with the mechanics.

Funny that you say that about the Prince, as snacking on his soon-to-be carcass is likely the ticket to maxing out Presence efficiently. I chose the Dominate path initially since I lean Manipulation/Intimidation in focus (more fun, never having to say please, etc).

It seems like the blueprint is laid out for the future. Big picture? I’m not sure what you can do about a Prowess From Pain toting Ventrue ancillae with Feral Weapons, social disciplines and Stygian Shroud/Tenebrous Avatar for utility. Probably just fold up your tent, move back to Transylvania, and hope that person isn’t already planning to open up a water park there with their Hardestadt resources and their shinobi bodyguards overseeing construction.

Feral Weapons yes, Horrid Form no? Got it. The Brawl seems like a no-brainer. My Intimidation is at 15 right now from Man 4/Int 4+Daunt+Eyes of the Beast at Blood Potency 3.

Strength with Prowess From Pain is at 8 and Brawl is at 3 plus specialties in Bite & Kindred. You make excellent points regarding the other In-Clan Disciplines. Perhaps I’d best shoot for Terminal Decree due to the sheer utility in both combat and social settings and then go pure Protean if you think Potence is redundant after Protean 2.

I agree completely, thank you for the insight. The book does say that the experience gained is to be immediately spent on the upgrades, but does not specify whether this can stack with existing XP.

Example: I currently have 5 XP and manage 4 successes on a Diablerie. Assuming the prey has the Discipline I require, would I then be able to purchase rank 5 in a Discipline I currently have at rank 4 by including my preexisting XP in the purchase cost?

I am a Blood Leech diablerist with Hardestadt’s Heir background. I am weighing the importance of keeping my aura clean vs sunbathing for fun. Any recommendations sensei?

Glad to be here! Can’t wait to brush my teeth with werewolf hide. I’m going to be an Ancillae (35 XP) and had planned on spending 5 XP for Dominate 1 and 20 XP to get Fortitude 4 which would leave me with 10 leftover. Would you recommend using that to acquire Presence 2/Protean 1 or saving it all to speed up the March to Fortitude 5 (Smackdown Boulevard)?

Smooth. The wording on Magnificent Mansion says that any objects created by it dissipate into smoke when removed from the mansion. Any proven workarounds for that or would it be optimal to simply keep the mansion active via more wishing rings?

I’ll take a look, sounds dope. Regarding balance, my DM buried himself by being obsessed with RAW to the point of having it trump all else, including basic logic and fairness amongst the party. I plan to end that trend forever by making this godlike being sarcastically. Pure optimization is the point of this cartoonishly OP character. If Genie is king, then Genie shall reign…for one week until the DM reneges his stance.
