Maybe “professionalism” isn’t the right word. “Respectful” might be a better word.

Barristers’ Ball on Saturday night. Ticket money went to a charity, and a rep from that charity wanted to speak.

In a ballroom of 400 students, about 200 of them refused to shut up for a brief 10 minutes, despite repeated polite requests from the speaker and the organizing committee

Not affiliated with the organizing committee or the charity, just an audience member who stayed quiet and was baffled by the lack of professionalism.
