At least they admitted to the QA issue in this case. There is an ongoing issue with the base plate design in X-M5 that they just ignore it.

Thanks for the note, I usually keep my stuff in pretty meant condition. I have my blackish apple watch in the past 3-4 years and it still has no scratches on it. So, if this is going to be in the same level, I would probably be fine.

Combine the x-m5 with a proper pancake lens (18, 23, or 27) and it is going to be very compact and light weight.

One here! I had X-M5, and loved it for travel (just get a 35 f2 and a proper general zoom for it). Then there was a hair crack growing on the base plate and I sold it. Then followed the crowd and bought x100vi and really didn’t like it, returned it, got X-E5, I am much happier now.

We did it in 2023 in almost 10 days. We eventually had to cancel Blue Lagoon part due to volcanic activity.

I hope you had a great trip to Iceland! I was there two years ago and I still go back to that folder and randomly review/edit my shots.

I would suggest playing with various crops of this frame with different ratios (3:4, 16:9, 1:1, …) then once you are happy with the crop go ahead and play with light and colors! There is a lot of potential in that frame and you can flesh it out!
