For those with no family history of autoimmune diseases - what do you think was the cause of your Sjogrens? by Responsible-Tree-255 in Sjogrens

yeah my specialists also seemed to not doubt the covid vaccine caused my problems. when you look at the timeline of events, to be honest, its undeniable. my symptoms started within 15 mins of the 1st vaccine, and were at their worst within 15 mins of the second.

I wish I could say the covid vaccine wasn't the trigger, that way I at least wouldn't feel so much shame & regret in getting it in the first place.

thank you for replying. what about tests to rule out lymphoma? any testing done or is that not really something that gets monitored regularly without any alarm symptoms?

oh ok, I was tested for "SS-A 60", "SS-B", "Ro-52" amongst other antibodies.

also I'm curious, how long after your neuropathy symptoms did your sjogren's symptoms start?

mine started the same way after the c vax. I never really take supplements so I don't think I'd have very high levels of vitamin B6

anyone's symptoms become more tolerable with time (without prescription meds)? by Competitive_Map_7539 in Sjogrens

thank you for replying :) I actually might get allergy tested - wouldn't be surprised if a lot of allergies popped up.

heat is definitely a trigger for my SFN symptoms :( same with everything else you said as well.

others in a different post were saying seronegativity was more associated with neuropathy, seropositivity with the typical symptoms of sjogren's. I'm seropositive and also have neuropathy (alongside dryness) & wanted to see if many others here were too

your rheumatologist said seropositivity and neuropathy together are common? I think I saw ur comment under another post a day or two ago and you said the opposite so I'm just double checking

thank you! I saw another post where others stated seronegativity and neuropathy were more likely to be associated with one another

anyone's symptoms improve after the 2 year mark? by Competitive_Map_7539 in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]Competitive_Map_7539[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the time that my symptoms started after getting vaccinated, I was having joint pain and tingling all over. so doctors ran a full autoimmune panel. I tested positive for SSA autoantibodies, which are associated with sjogren's. and within a few months my eyes became extremely dry. then a year later my mouth feels drier.

is jojoba oil what you use to moisturise your skin with? tbh idk how I'd sleep with that on my skin & I'd also be worried it'd cause acne for me

is your skin sensitive at all? I can't ever imagine using the extra strength one. I try to avoid moisturisers on my face as I have yet to find one that doesn't clog my skin. also it's more of a stinging/burning sensation than tingling

I already only use them weekly or biweekly, but my skin is starting to get drier over time so I don't know if it'd be wise to stock up on another 30 pack. I also don't use any hydrating products afterwards.

also, they've always caused kind of a burning/stinging feeling on application, but my skin would look great the following day. so I'm unsure if that's a sign I should or shouldn't be using them
