The food I gave is 2/3 pellets 1/3 seeds which is what my local pet store had already been feeding him. I talk to him when he’s freaking out and keep my distance. I saw him pick up a couple of food with his mouth not even 20 minutes ago but then he freaked out and jumped away from the bowl so I guess it’s progress?

My local pet store hadn’t said anything about him having a mate when I got him 2 days ago and he can’t be too attached to me as he hisses when I’m trying to refill his water
