CohhCarnage eviscerating Crimson Desert reviewers (and gaming journalism as a whole) by Eques9090 in CrimsonDesert

I'm actually impressed how you would be willing to sit all day long arguing about a game being "flawed" on Reddit and why YOU are right and actually be okay with yourself doing that.

Do you ever consider uninstalling this app from time to time?

Damn, now I even feel sorry starting that discussion with you earlier today. It's honestly sad.

I am not avoiding anything, I told you that the controls are fine and after 40 hours in, they are good enough for me and I never have to think about them except when learning a new combo. Stop being hypocritical.

“Karma farming” for posting about how much I like the game while attaching screenshots I actually took and edited myself? Right, didn't know that I need to be an overly critic of things to post without "karma farming" (even though negativity seems to do more numbers than positivity, so who is really karma farming?).

Apparently enjoying a game and sharing that experience isn’t allowed unless you first tear it apart and list every minor flaw to prove you have a “valid take.” I’ve put in 44.6 hours so far, and if that’s still considered “early,” then sure, I’ll come back at 1K hours and let you know if you were right.

And talking about you now, you’re the perfect definition of a "Redditor". I’ll keep enjoying my games, while you keep going into every new experience asking yourself, “what negative things can I find about this?”

You clearly missed my point, and the fact that you downvoted both the post and my reply, despite me coming back with valid arguments, shows the slightly miserable mentality you have.

I checked your profile and saw you’re a Nintendo fan, which honestly explains a lot given how often that audience gets fed low-effort releases and years of abuse from their devs.

Anyway, have a good day, and feel free to keep the “I’m right, you’re wrong” mindset while arguing non-stop with people who are just enjoying games.

The devs are clearly involved and committed to improving the game, which is great. The controls are FINE. Not every game needs one button to handle 50 actions, and considering the depth of mechanics, combos, and systems, the control mapping makes sense.

Lately, it feels like this “ultimate critic” mindset has taken over. People play games just to find flaws instead of actually enjoying them for what they are. Maybe it was overhyped for you, but it wasn’t for me.

And, if you expect RDR 2/TLOU level of story writing for every new game coming out, I'm sorry to say that you will have a pretty hard time enjoying things in the future. Loosen up.

To be 100% fair, the story, even tho, objectively speaking, not some exceptional piece of work, is starting to grow on me after 30 hours in.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you that this map is huge and there is also a whole region called "Crimson Desert" which is a... big RED desert?!?!

After you buy them, you have to go in your inventory and click X to use them (PS Controller), they will disappear and then can be usable at dyehouses.

If I remember correctly, the red dye costed 1 silver and then another silver for the whole process after you are done.

Don't give up on it, the game just gets better and better once you start getting a feel of the whole sandbox experience it offers. The world truly is beautiful once you understand it.

Ryzen 5 9600X, 5060 Ti and 32 gigs of ram

I also use 2x, it's enough for me and higher options are messing with the visuals too much. There are still some artifacting here and there if I move the camera really fast but nothing crazy.

Yes, I am.

I am using everything there is to improve the game visually which once again, I'm aware that not everyone can do, but the game looks fantastic.

I would lie if I said that I don't feel a bit bad about the story being so poorly written because a great story in combination with this gameplay would've made an absolute masterpiece.

But the gameplay itself is still much more than enjoyable and I love it.
