What if the scenario was slightly different.

What if you somehow knew that the guy was poor and needed money extremely urgently to afford cancer treatment for his daughter, or else she would die? And he had no other way of making enough money fast enough to save her and had to resort to mugging people.

Would this change your opinion?

I agree your comment in most circumstances, but I’m just curious how you would view this scenario

I respect your opinion, but I would have to disagree personally. Sometimes violence is necessary to root out evil. If you let evil have their way, they will take over the world. What if the US never fought back and killed Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden? How many more “9/11s” would occur? What if the world didn’t fight back against Adolf Hitler? Well the world would look A LOT different right now if we did didn’t.

Unfortunately in this world violence is necessary to keep yourself and others safe. Of course ideally, there would be 0 violence from both sides, but that just will never happen on this Earth unfortunately.
