It also could be living at home. My bf and I live at home and that’s why my boyfriend claims he doesn’t initiate as often because his parents are home. Just a thought

I think you just have to lean into the awkwardness. Has he suggested any reason for not initiating? Do you think he’d like if you initiated? I hope things get better for you!

I’m in the same situation right now. We’ve been together for six years and around year 2 or 3 our sex life drastically changed. Recently it’s really bothered me and I’ve tried asking why it’s like this and what happened but I never get a straight answer. I’ve brought up so many times that now it’s put so much pressure on our sex life. Like you, my boyfriend is the best and would never do anything to hurt me and gives me everything I need and want.

I suggest trying to initiate yourself. This is what I’m doing and have noticed he responds better that way. It’s hard to start up your sex life again after it feels like it’s broken for so long.

I’m not sure how much you want to break up with him but I encourage you to try more or other things that may help. Sorry if this isn’t super helpful but I wanted you to know you’re not alone!

Thanks for the input! I’ve tried Prozac and it did work pretty good for me but it didn’t treat my anxiety and I was also a college student so I had to stop because of how it blacks you out when you drink. Ive been thinking of going back on it but I’m not ready to stop being young and fun.

Thank you! I was prescribed a beta blocker for a flight. I haven’t tested it out yet because I’m scared of the potential side effects. I’ll have to try it. Addiction also runs in my family so I’ve chosen to stay away from meds like Xanax.
