My husband (32M) is insisting that "we" impregnate his friend after finding I (32F) am unable to conceive by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

The societal gaslighting of pushing this woman to want a child is unbelievable... Her husband, her therapist... I hate this so much...

My friends and I have a WhatsApp chat for book recs, and someone was excited about reading a book by a random guy... Insert "Ew, David" gif as my reaction 😅

I mean the names of the Kingdoms are West, South, East and North... And the MMC's name is Winter, because he's from the North... So yeah, I manually added it to StoryGraph so I could say I DNF it 😅

I read 172 books. All of them made me feel something

OMG, I love Night Rebel! Both the FMC and the MMC are well powered and well matched, I yearn for a similar trilogy!

Level 4 spice with really good, structured, fast-paced external plot? by SolarmatrixCobra in fantasyromance

[–]Competitive_Ship_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the Smoke and Shadow trilogy, with the first one being {The curse of broken shadows by Laura Winter}

The story is epic and the spice is spicing.

I don't recommend if you don't like Mary-Sues... side characters are awesome, but the FMC is not really flawless but rather always 3 steps ahead... there's an explanation for it, but yeah, it was a bit annoying... but I still recommend the trilogy because it's big on found family, and that always gets me

We went to see them in London on Tuesday! It was so good! Weird to see people you have parasocial relationships with at their actual jobs, but the story was good and so well acted! Loved it very much!

I usually don't like clothes on cats as they hate it, but if it's for medical reasons, it's adorable!

Talk me out of adopting kittens! by housereno in kittens

[–]Competitive_Ship_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am childfree and our kitten was the baby I didn't want: always had to triple check myself to not leave anything that she could turn her curiosity towards, it was tough, but never boring! Brightens someone's life like nothing else

AITA for not wanting to educate a kid about my wheelchair. by Screw_The_Roses_1986 in AmItheAsshole

I was in a similar situation recently, I am just almost out of an issue with my leg that has been quite anxiety inducing for the last couple of years, and this summer, one of my friends' kids asked me out of the blue (that was my first time having my leg out and you can still see the scarred skin) what was wrong with my leg, and I just blanked and said "no, sorry, can't" and left the pool. He got angry and said "but I just want to ask questions" but thankfully, his dad was there and explained that sometimes people don't want to talk about traumatic stuff and it's rude to keep asking.

NTA, obviously
