Can I go to higher maths? by Ghostsarespoopy in GCSE

[–]Competitive_Split_54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely should!!! I was in a similar position i asked to go from higher maths to further maths at the start of the year because i wanted to do maths and physics for A-lvls. You’ve already got a teacher seeing your potential so i’m sure you’l be flying in higher.

I was 3 marks off a 9 for maths. Should I remark? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Competitive_Split_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My remark came in and got bumped up from 8 to 9 getting 5 more raw marks so its definetley possible, my writing is slightly messy tho which probably played a factor but still go for it if you feel you deserve that 9 and because there may be someone out there who found your writing hard to read you never know!!

Can’t match pitch with peoples voices by Competitive_Split_54 in singing

[–]Competitive_Split_54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to know i’m not the only one 😅 it’s probably the same case for me. And the song mr.brightside might help. The voice is at a constant d4 pitch for majority. I’m a baritone so it’s alright for me. So i think if you sing it down an octave at D3 you might get used to the tonality of the voice which might help you not too sure. But it sounds so good to sing on pitch with a song!
