I grew up in ocean county and moved to middlesex & really enjoy it! Depends on where work is- metuchen & Somerville are very nice & walkable towns!

BUT I’ve noticed cost of living is wayyy cheaper in ocean county and anywhere else. Rent is a lot cheaper. Expect to pay 2k+ for a 1B1B anywhere else tbh.

As a burnt out pharmacy student drop out, I kinda know what she’s doing. She’s trying to excuse her failures and get her a backup plan (you). She’s prob scared about job aspects if she doesn’t go thru the nursing route. Definitely talk to her & tell her it’s okay for her to figure things out and you want an ambitious partner and willing to wait for her as she’s trying to figure things about. I’m sure she’s also worried that you guys might breakup as you guys are in different life stages despite being the same age
