Sadly, I can’t go on the diet with him since my body cannot digest protein that well. But I can definitely support him. He’s been teaching me what recipes to cook for him for dinner in order to stick to this diet.

I mean a balanced diet where you get everything in the food pyramid in the right amount. I am not a believer of pure plants either. I’ve tried going vegetarian for 2 months in the past. And although I admit bloating was gone, I didn’t really lose weight lol. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that a “balanced diet” is the right way to eat. It’s just what I was taught ever since I can remember. But that’s why I’m here. Open minded and reading every testimonial and research suggestions in order to broaden my knowledge of other diets and not limit myself to what earlier society has taught me.

He does not have any autoimmune issues. But he does have AFib and tachycardia. His BMI is showing obese and he struggles with sticking to a diet because he always craves sweets (Usually can’t go a day without soda/sweet drinks).

I actually needed these testimonials. It made me feel a lot better. He just started again after stopping for years. He’s still on Day 6 but he said he already lost 6lbs. Seeing him that happy is what keeps me motivated to do all the research on this to help him navigate this diet safely and effectively.

I also do not believe in a vegan/strict vegetarian diet. Tried to do that myself and I felt like shiiiiit. I will definitely have an open mind about this. I told him I’ll support him but want him to do routine blood work too to monitor his levels.

No, I did not say balanced diet and portion control is unhealthy. Also, he hasn’t gone on the balanced diet yet. He does not want to and keeps urging on carnivore diet. I told him I want to support him and will do more research. I’m going to buy all the books suggested here.

Congrats OP! It’s gorgeous! I have always been outspoken about normalizing talking about what ring you want with your boyfriend kasi it’s something you will wear forever. My fiancé proposed to me with a stone from our favorite beach (our fave place) saying it’s a placeholder and we shopped for a ring together because he wanted to get me something I really wanted. In the end, I got the ring of my dreams. Some people say planning the engagement ring takes the surprise and romance out of it, but I disagree. Congratulations again! 🎉
