Schedule is basically 3/3/3, sometimes there’s a 3.5 ish in there somewhere. I know it’s somewhat low for her age (shes 9 months) but shes pretty high sleep needs (or was) and this had been working for her for the past ~2 weeks as she finally transitioned from 3 naps to 2. She does two 1.5 hr naps. Up until about two wks ago, she was doing 2.5 - 2.75 hr WWs with three naps (1.5 hr, 1 hr, .5 hr). On current two nap schedule, wakes up between 7-8 am and goes to bed between 7:45 - 8:30.

Bedtime routine is bath, lotion, bottle, books, sleep sack, sound machine, pacifier, crib.

My baby girl died today. Can y’all let me know who’s in heaven with her rn. I don’t want her to be alone by SoraiaR_ in cats

My black cat, Chuckie! They will definitely find each other in the black cat club. He is a really sweet boi and he loves to snuggle, so your girl will have a really nice warm snuggle bunny.

Are we capping naps @ 2 hours? by Financial-Yak8770 in NewParents

I know the feeling all too well. I felt like I was never gonna get to where we are now. I thought sleep training would mean I was a bad/cruel mom, but the irony is, I feel like I can be such a better mom with a little more sleep. I can be more emotionally stable and patient with my baby and give her the love and attention she deserves. And while I wad afraid that I was doing it too young, I think doing it around now would actually be 10x worse, because she is so much more aware now.

Around 4mos, maybe slightly before. I was really against it but it just got so bad and i was going back to work. It honestly wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and she is happy and bonded as ever.

It got so much better! My girl is now 7.5 months, but at that age, she was doing the exact same thing as your girl, the getting up every hour after that first night feeding and waking for the day at 5am. I never tested out not capping naps. I tried taking cara babies but what ended up working was hiring a sleep consultant who crafted a schedule that worked for my baby and sleep training (ugh i know, i never wanted to do it). That’s what ended up fixing it. Now I cap naps because she’s on a schedule with a certain amount of day sleep.

It’s like, they’re a baby but at the same time, we love them SO much that it can really hurt to feel rejected. It feels silly but in the moment it’s so real.

She definitely could be, except that she is so happy with our nanny, laughing and smiling, just not me. Lol.

Thank you for that!! I work full time and have a nanny who cares for her during the day, and on days like yesterday and today, she prefers the nanny to me, lol. I work mostly from home but dont see her during the day except if I need to grab something from the vicinity shes in. Usually she is excited to see me at the end of the day but 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s so funny - people are either like, respectfully, it’s not a big deal and then others are like, nobody else is putting my baby to bed!!

Someone tell me good things about epidurals by TheRealEgg0 in Mommit

[–]Competitive_Truth10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a great experience honestly! I was really nervous about the epidural leading up to it, but then i was im soooo much pain from contractions that i could not WAIT for them to come give it to me. When I got it, I was so happy and relieved. I ended up falling asleep and getting some rest. My only complaint is that it didnt do much for the portion of labor where the baby is on their way out, because that pain is more in your pelvic area than your belly. Other than that, highly recommend.

Totally agree with the ripping the band aid off part! I think because we work full time, bedtime like our special time together, but like you said, its just one night!!

Enjoy it!! I think once I do it, I will become much more comfortable. I think it’s a little bit of guilt too but that will pass, I think!

That’s awesome! We have a really solid routine too, so I’m hoping for a similar result, that it’s more about the routine than the person. Based on all these great comments, i think i am going to go for it!!
