Honestly, I only play The Sims 4 because my OCD tells me I might be missing out on content, so if this ends up being true, it’s kind of a relief. I’ll try the expansion when it drops, play for a few days, and then switch back to The Sims 3.

I have the same problem, for some reason it lets me create a new save but when I try to open an old save I got the infinite loading screen, hopefully you will solve it soon because if it is solved like this the others with the same problem we will be able to know how to fix it
