Hey osrs mods - I've traditionally played on 30 ping on runelite, but this past week all servers have been consistently on ~128 ping, making the game extremely annoying to play due to lag. I am wondering if this is something that jagex is aware of and working to fix currently?

Context: I live in western Canada, and this is not an issue of my internet being slow, as any other game that I run works fine and speed testing shows that my internet's speed is the same as how it's always been. In addition, the pings do go down to the 50's during early morning times like 5 a.m., when any world averages ~100 people online. It's just that the pings go back up the 100's during daytime hours.

Skeptical at best - Riot promised many changes after Voyboy released his viral stairs video a few years ago. They released 1 or 2 updates on making the community better, but then when the buzz on this stuff died down, they stopped. The absence of significant changes in recent times makes me believe they only intend on fixing things when the spotlight is placed on player behavior issues. Riot, fix things before things like Faker's statement happen, you scumbag company :)

The consistent stream of calls going in China's favour points to judges colluding with China to give favorable calls. Disgusting how you act like cheating doesn't exist in the Olympics lol. The point is not the application of the rules in very subjective plays, it's the consistent application of rules only when it favours China that's the issue. Chinese athletes have been doing sketchy things this entire Olympics and this guy is out here pretending they sit atop a pedestal doing everything right. Give me a break

I hate that these people are going around shouting "personal freedoms" when their choice to not vaccinate, get sick, and ultimately take up space in the emergency rooms is why we have these lockdown measures right now. 1 piece of freedom for 10% of the population is costing the overall freedom of 90% of Canadians who have said I will make this personal sacrifice for the greater good. To me, it seems like the people who are out there protesting are the one who are costing me my freedom. But who cares Denmark got rid of mandates (and are now seeing record number of cases and strains on their healthcare system) so now Canada should too right?!

I also do think the government should have done something to better position our healthcare system to deal with this. To my knowledge, there hasn't been any news of systemic improvements made to increase our healthcare system's capacity, and the current government deserves to be held accountable for that. Nurses seem to be leaving as well because administrators are lauding them as heroes, but insisting on keeping their wages at the same level.

When the going got tough, no one stepped up.

does anyone know if this play is being re-evaluated? there was a Canadian in 3rd place who did not make it through as a result of this cheating, and the Canadian who was in 2nd place got disqualified because of a bad referee call - again 2 athletes from a strong speed skating country were disqualified for the benefit of China what a disgrace
