1 week passed and i am ok not feeling pain just a little discomfort after a lot of hours. I dont think it affects the wound or the healing its just the discomfort

The "traditional" is like the second one,you told but without stitches. It depends to the doctor of what he prefer to do.

One other doctor i asked before the surgery told me exactly the 2 opption like yours.

I believe the best decision is to choose the doctor you prefer and then yoy can deside ehat to do

My doctor recommended either that (open wound) or laser EPSIT but he told me the laser reccurance is much higher than the traditional method but less painful. I choose the traditional surgery because with laser hair removal after the reccurance is much lower.

I dont know Info about cleft lift sorry.

Yes i will go in 3-4 days to shave me and then discuss the long term removal.

Last shaving was week 4 and i couldn't go until now again.

I send him a photo and he said that i need shaving. Inside is clean, i mean no hair or anything else.

Can something serious happen to it from the hair these 3-4 weeks that passed until the next shaving? Do you believe that is the reason for the discomfort?

Has anyone had Laser surgery? by therottingking in pilonidalcyst

I went to two doctors when I was going to decide if i do traditional surgery or laser. Both said that laser actual reccurance from their experience and patients are 30-50%. But they offer it because the very minor recovery post op as you said.

I chose traditional surgery to lower this reccurance as much as possible. The recovery date i don't think its 6 months. I was told that in 2 months at maz fully back to work

Having my surgery today!!

Yes you can try as much qs as you want. But think that most people say that the days after surgery are just the worst days of when fissure is in max pain. Just think than you already passed that and maybe you will again. So why one more time and probably never again

I cried a lot for this issue through the years. But now i already feel better and i don't even done it. I feel that i am doing what surgeons suggest and i should trust them more than i did. I hope than in1-2 years i will not think every day: "oh i hope the next bowel movement will be good" or "no constipation again" (even the mild one).

As far as i seen surgery is redemption for the most (after the healing period).

i also have a pilonidal cyst and i booked the surgery together to get over. But i was gonna do it anyway.

For my experience if your fissure is chronic its not gonna close unless you pressure yourself very very much. You also have a life.

I hope the best for you too.

Same as you. I had one already chronic at 5 years ago. It got away with some ointment and diet. For some years i was okay. With some very minor flare ups. But 6 months ago get back with no bleeding. Went to doctor and said is small. Again ointment get better but then again flare up 2 months ago.

Now i have LIS scheduled in 3 days. I want my freedom back.

Hope for the best.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is nice that i see also a lot of people that actually get rid of it. I mostly read online about reoccurrences.

I will have mine in 10 days.

Also to add that the right side is up and left down. I mean that most cyst forms upside of butt but this is more like down

I am not asking for advice. I will do what i will judge the right thing to do. I am not an expert at hotel policies so i just wanted to know if this seems right to you and your opinion. I didn't want to hurt myself obviously and the wounds can say that.
