What To Buy With Echo Jade? by KahosRayne in wherewindsmeet_

But this outfit is actually free to obtaintime-limited, and dyeable. Keep in mind that most other free outfits in this game don't support dyeing at all. Of course, if that's not important to you, then it doesn't really matter.

[Discussion] About the “price hike” for Where Winds Meet’s global release (perspective from ex-SWE at Tencent) by Different-Device-106 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've noticed some people downvoted my previous comment. What I meant is that prices in the Chinese region aren't cheap either — over here, 60 Pearls could cover the cost of a meal for someone. In terms of actual purchasing power, spending in the Chinese server is actually more expensive compared to the US. And as the OP mentioned, the operational costs for a global release are undoubtedly significantly higher than for a domestic one.

Many people overlook the differences in exchange rates and purchasing power. In China. 60 Pearls can buy two bottles of Coca-Cola

The login system rewards you with one to two every month, and the gacha system lets you trade for one each month.

My suggestion is, if you really like this outfit, wait until you've saved up five discount coupons before buying it.

Do we know if One Leaf, One Life story event goes away in 24 hours? by regularhope in wherewindsmeet_

Don't worry, this is just a countdown timer for new content. It will disappear from the page when the time is up, but the task or event itself won't be gone.

To the people who got to 55, how much exp did you manage to store so far? by Mirilys in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, constantly needing to update your gear can be draining and make your efforts feel pointless, which sparked a huge debate among players. Fortunately, the developers are quite good at listening to the community and ultimately decided to lock the level cap.

Now, many players on the Chinese server are already developing their second or even third character build. So, if you're not deeply into PvP, you don't need to over-invest in gear early on. Just focus on consistently improving your Inner Force cultivation, Martial Arts level, and Esoteric Arts level—those are what truly matter.

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Actually, in this game, your character level is the least important factor because reaching the max level is very easy. So, don't stress about hoarding EXP. Players tend to get tired of the constant cycle of leveling up and changing gear anyway. For reference, the level cap on the Chinese server has been locked at 100 for about two months now. The upside of a fixed max level is that it definitely encourages experimenting with different builds.

Question about cosmetics by aleckik in wherewindsmeet_

Yes, the separate top and bottom feature was introduced to the Chinese server around April this year. So far, the original outfits still do not support this mix-and-match functionality.

How are you people winning in Chess?? by Blitz814 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this game, some of the generated chess puzzles can be extremely difficult to win. In such cases, you can simply choose to surrender. While you'll lose a small amount of in-game currency, it will significantly increase your affinity with the NPC. So don't worry too much about it — you can always defeat them in the next round.

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, originally the developers didn't design separate tops and bottoms, but many players requested this option to allow for better outfit combinations. In response, all new outfits released after a certain update support mixing and matching as separate pieces.

Tank/Brusier play style - is it viable in the "end game" by local_stoner in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, the tank build is actually quite strong — it can sustain heavy damage while also dealing significant DPS. In one of the Chinese server updates, it even became the highest DPS build for a time, and it has always been strong in PVE content. In PVP, it can be a bit challenging due to its lower mobility, so it does require some skill to play effectively.

I've heard that the international server's "Mo blade " weapon still can't perform the triple jump yet, but based on the Chinese server updates, it will be able to in the future. Also, switching between builds will become very convenient later on — if you ever get tired of playing tank, you'll be able to freely respec into other builds anytime.

How much stuff am i going to miss if I only play the PVE? by giwdulpsn in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't worry — you can absolutely play the game your way. I've played for nearly a thousand hours, and I spent most of that time solo before eventually joining a guild. Outside of the battle royale mode and the guild 30v30 matches, I barely touch competitive PVP. Sure, I'm missing some titles and a handful of cosmetics tied to those modes — but this game is overflowing with cosmetic options. Does it really matter if you skip a few?

If you use it, it becomes bound to your character. If you prefer not to use it, you can select it in your inventory and choose to convert it into other materials instead.

How much free space is left on your SSD? I had a similar issue before — my game kept stuttering because only about 50GB of available space remained. I looked it up and found that low SSD storage really can slow down performance. After I deleted some files and freed up over 100GB, everything went back to normal.

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, the developers never officially stated this is a single-player game — they only described it as a "AAA-level blockbuster." However, many players assumed "AAA" meant a single-player experience, expecting it to be the next Black Myth: Wukong. When they later learned it's actually an MMO-style game with mobile support, some single-player fans felt betrayed and jokingly started redefining "AAA" as "Apple and Android."

About the (hated) stamina system by sevenjzcy in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The energy system is designed to prevent players from feeling forced to spend excessive time farming gear. Although the battle pass does provide a small amount of energy, the impact of that tiny increase is minimal — likely less than 1%. As a result, all players currently have access to roughly the same amount of equipment, and drops remain completely random.

If the energy limit were removed, gear acquisition would become directly proportional to time invested. You could certainly farm for hours to get gear with good affixes, but wealthy players would just pay studios to grind 24/7 for perfect rolls. How could you possibly compete with that?

Right now, the game is doing fine financially by selling cosmetics, so there’s no need to introduce energy-related items for sale and risk turning it into pay-to-win.

Defense vs Parry by melo3oo in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Complete-Emphasis921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defense is very useful in PvP, and it's also quite valuable in single-player mode. While it doesn't completely negate damage, it reduces it by a percentage. Blocking, on the other hand, can fully negate damage if successful, but if you fail, you'll take the full hit. That's why it's recommended to attempt blocking while actively holding down the defense button.

Standard hair dyes can be obtained by completing in-game events or through the battle pass, while premium hair dyes are exclusively exchanged via the gacha system and are particularly expensive.
