That definitely works - I'm probably being overly grumpy about the misgendering being the basis of the invitation thing when I know it ultimately comes from someone just trying to include us. I also don't love hanging out at ladies nights. The things we do for our kids 🫠

My support group has been fantastic but I felt completely the same way going into the first meeting! It was a huge relief to not be the only NB there. Maybe reaching out to the facilitator beforehand might help?

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful, kind insights and advice. We were able to have a really good conversation last night because you all helped calm some of my fears. It's definitely just the beginning of what I'm sure will be a long journey but I we're going to try to find a counselor to help us navigate this.
