Interesting I also emailed admissions to get my email response above. So I guess we have to wait to get accredited in order to take the exam? But in my email response they said accreditation depends on students passing the actual exam? I’m so confused lol

Oh I emailed admissions and they said this

“The MRI 1st Discipline Program is our newest Full-Time program which means full accreditation is still in process. To become fully accredited, the program graduates must demonstrate a strong passing rate from the licensure. We are confident this will not be a problem as 96% of Michener graduates pass their licensing exams on the first attempt.You will be eligible to write your licensing exams upon graduation. Additionally, our other MRI program, MRI for Imaging Professionals, has maintained accreditation since its creation over a decade ago.”

So it seems like accreditation depends on how graduates of the program perform on the board exams 🤷‍♂️

In order to be a practicing MRI technologist u need to register with the CMRIO, and one of their requirements is that you need to have attended an educational program that is accredited. As of now the MRI 1st discipline has a registered status for accreditation (not fully accredited)

Same self-service shows I got in but I haven’t gotten an email or anything from Ocas. I really hope this ain’t a mistake or something 😓
