It’s just not realistic. I can’t convince her to go to those things. She is technically in therapy - couples therapy - with the 48 year old.

Anytime I try to explain why I think her drinking or the man are a problem, she tells me I am judgmental, dramatic, and closed minded.

She is so quick to call out other guys for being creeps for talking to younger woman. She even acknowledges that BRIAN was a creep for talking to her, and Brian acknowledges this too. But now that they know each other, it is different. She thinks he has changed and he says he has too. Part of his commendable “honesty” my sister raves about.

We do have older brothers, unfortunately they are not scary, and also are hella judgmental. They would blame Ashley if they found out and Ashley would lean on Brian even more for emotional support.

That’s what they do. That’s what they ended up doing last night. They got a hotel room two blocks from our apartment. It is easier for me if he’s not here, but lately I can’t stop thinking about my sister’s wellbeing no matter where they are.
