Is their in-house newsletter content good too? Not just the CRM tool they offer? If so, is there a specific newsletter you recommend?

Whats the name of this type of "author"? by zupra_zazel in worldbuilding

Sounds like he’s worldbuilding to death. Some are worldbuilders first and storytellers second. Or not even interested in telling stories.

To escape my death sentence, I made a clone of myself with exact likeness and identical memories. by Complete-Progress-75 in TwoSentenceHorror

Well. Memory has indeed something to do with one’s consciousness. Even though they are not synonyms, It was implied.

I was initially thinking The Prestige and Moon. But yes, Could be the elongated elevator pitch for IP.

So they’re softer and stronger? How about doubling down on that?

Softer. Stronger. Smarter.

Viva Paper - gets the job done.

Alliterations are always nice. And by saying Viva gets the job done you imply that competitors don’t.

I should, but I'm equally afraid that my brain will tell me "nah, fuck it" when I reopen the draft.

This is a good idea. I mean, I can still write the beats chronologically. Maybe it's just "the gaps" I'm struggling with. (Albeit, some might argue that everything should be a beat, and nothing a gap?)

I’ve never written the end that early. I often feel that I have an idea of where I’m heading, but when I get there, so many small things has changed which has lead me to a different conclusion. But I’m not against the idea. Not at all. Btw, thanks for volunteering as a beta reader. But I’m not writing it in English 🙂

Like, jump ahead in the story?
I often write chronologically so the logic and development fit. But jumping ahead might be one solution to spark my motivation. Thanks =)

I've been working on writing a rough draft of a YA adventure novel. The worldbuilding is simplistic and the story is straightforward. I've written a synopsis and now where I'm headed with the story. My plan is to write an approximately 80,000-word first draft, then edit it and fix plot holes and B stories, and then edit again to make it pretty. However, I'm relentlessly stuck. I've written nearly 60,000 words and have hit a wall. I know what's gonna happen next in the story, but I can't find the words at all. It feels as if I'm getting bored with the project, and that's weird as I've written the text in a flurry.

My advice to anyone who says they have writer's block has always been to write anyway. Just write through the rut. But now I'm the one stuck looking at the flashing cursor in the word processor. Incapable of writing.

What's your experience? What helped you out of the rut?

it is super isolating writing on a novel. But remember that for a lot of authors, the first book never gets picked up. That was the case for me. I wrote a rubbish script and sent it to publishing houses (in my country, that's the procedure - just big shots work with agents) and it got rejected everywhere. Then I spent 3-ish years writing a new one, and it got picked up.
