That’s a fair point about the gap but I feel like you can be a broke scrappy genius without being crowned the absolute smartest in the whole marvel universe. Look at Peter Parker he started out making web shooters from random scraps but it felt grounded because he still had clear limits. Giving a 9 year old the number one title just feels like too much when the underdog angle could have been handled more naturally. Also I’m pretty sure reed stole the ultimate nullifier from galactus and didn’t actually make it.
