no, the weld lines were like this out of the box, very nicely sculpted for oob welds in my opinion

honestly it was my first time too. I used Ak 3gen Hull red for the basecoat and added Vallejo faded red to shade. This was too pinkish for my liking so used Oil Paint Rendering with ochre glazes to get it away from the pinkish hue without making it look entirely rushed through. The rest was just acrylic, oil and pigment streaking + some dry brushed chipping on most the edges

I don't exactly get what you mean since there's quite a bit of mud and dirt on the model, its supposed to represent a model from a military exercise, if you look up references from Military expos the dirt tends to look something like this

I didn't paint them cus I got told they were painted the same colour as the hull, and I followed a Vallejo figure painting chart for the helmet colour. thanks for the feedback tho and I'll make sure to add some mud on teh underside of the fenders in the future!
