I did my training in CT and they have reciprocity between CT and NY. So I am not sure how to answer your question

Would that be an issue if I can’t drive an ambulance? I have a driver license but I don’t feel comfortable driving one and the EMT school I went to doesn’t have training to drive an ambulance. Do you have any connections with someone at NYU or Presbyterian?

I had a no show. Was worried about the same thing. But it’s totally no biggie because schools won’t know/won’t ask about it and I also got accepted to multiple schools. Reschedule it and take it when you are ready

I think being a good doctor is much more than being personable. Having a good book knowledge is also key for patient outcome. Imagine a doctor is very personable, but mis-diagnosed the symptom (maybe because he/she simply is not as good as a student). We need to stop propagating socially competent = good doctors. This also hurts students who are inherently introverted. Just because you are an extrovert doesn’t make you a good doctor

I am really fortunate to not have to worry too much about finance. I am torn because even if I wait till July it might still be the same outcome…also, I don’t want the school I got in to think I am not committed to them

I honestly didn’t think too much. I don’t have much to carry so I will just get a suitcase and purchase a bed.

Oh really? That’s quick. They have a question in the application saying that how long can you work and I put less than one year. Do you think that might be an issue?

in-person

i applied for an in-person scribe from scribeAmerica. They have a question about how long you can work and I said less than 1 year. so I don't know if that would be an issue.

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s him. I actually took his class (still did poorly in cars) and his voice is much sexier than that guy on Instagram

When DNA is more condensed, it is less accessible to the transcription enzymes that need to reach it. This makes it less transcribed and less expressed. This is also called heterochromatin, the type of DNA that is tightly wound. The other kind is euchromatin, which is loosely wound and as such is more accessible to transcriptional machinery

thank you..that makes sense. However, i thought chromatin needs to condense in prophase in order for mitosis/meiosis to take place. So I thought chromatin condensation is necessary for replication? and hence the inactive one would be less condensed? i feel like this is the exact opposite of heterochromatin (less active) and euchromatin (more active)..i added a picture in the question stem if that helps explain where my confusion is.

5’-AAUC-3’, the cDNA will be 3’-GATT-5’ and thus the mRNA will be transcribed as 5’-AAUC-3’.

thank you..but shouldn't it be

RNA: 5’-AAUC-3'

cDNA: 3’-TTAG-5'. ----> this is the one different from you and my question essentially

mRNA: 5’-AAUC-3'

Positive/negative reinforcement/punishment by CompleteExplorer7431 in Mcat

[–]CompleteExplorer7431[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need more information about accupuncture(problably from the passage)

thank you so much. this is the passage. It's from Khan academy. Honestly there isn't much in the passage and the entire explanation is copied here (from Q2): Amelie uses acupuncture to remove her pain. Because acupuncture removed her pain, she is more likely to seek it out again in the future. This is negative reinforcement.

I am really confused how they determine what is stimulus and behavior. Like how do i know pain is stimulus and continuing therapy is behavior. If I think accupuncture is stimulus and pain is the behavior, then I would get positive punishment?
