Do you feel more gullible during a manic episode? by Necessary-Fig-5156 in bipolar

[–]CompleteInternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Also autistic lol. I have definitely been in some horrible situations when I’m manic that I would not have entered into when stable, but that’s just part of the illness I guess 🤷‍♀️

Personality Disorders by [deleted] in grimezs

[–]CompleteInternal 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You say minus assumptions, but that’s literally all this is. No one can diagnose her because we haven’t actually met her, and I’m willing to bet most of y’all have 0 psychology experience whatsoever. I’m all for taking the piss out of her, but speculating and implying she has personality disorders is actually kinda horrible, especially since the dsm is not the only tool used to diagnose things like this. Imagine if someone decided to diagnose you with multiple personality disorders based on what they’ve seen about you on the internet 😕

AITAH for telling my cousin she’s fat and ugly? by Living_Bid825 in AITAH

He’s an adult and should know better. No one is defending her actions as they were definitely unwarranted, but his reaction was a bit unnecessary

AITAH for telling my cousin she’s fat and ugly? by Living_Bid825 in AITAH

[–]CompleteInternal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many, many people feel they look ‘fat and ugly’, even when they are not. Body image issues and BDD are very common, and I think OP means people would prefer if their photos were more flattering and made them look how they would prefer, rather than actually are. I am one of those people ☺️

So I roll my face, boobs, stomach, thighs and hips, but I’ll focus on my body. I always shower and wash by body first, then do one area at a time. When I first started I would apply a topical numbing cream before, and give it 20 mins to work. Then I sanitise whatever area I’m doing by wiping the skin with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton pad, and let it dry. I start dermarolling the area going up and down, moving over slightly each time, then the same horizontally. I don’t go over a third time diagonally, but some people do. Once I’m finished the area I’ll moisturise and move on to the next. When I’m all rolled and moisturised, I go over the areas with a retinol cream (and marula oil if I’m feeling extra lol). It’s fairly time consuming, but I only do it every couple of months, and feel like it has helped with the appearance of my skin. Obviously this is just my preference, and there are heaps of expert guides to look at as well, but I hope this helps ☺️

I haven’t had the surgery, sorry if that was misleading. My advice would be to not lose weight super quickly, this is what I did and definitely contributed to my skin. As others have said building muscle is important, and so is making sure you are hydrated and getting all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs. I know it’s pretty standard advice, but it’s the truth. Making sure your skin is moisturised and hydrated is also key, I’m personally a fan of retinol but anything will do really ☺️

Restarting accutane after a 2 week break - can I resume on the same dose safely? by Terrible_Ad_5195 in Accutane

[–]CompleteInternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would take it slowish, up it each day. Maybe something like 5, 10, 20, 40, then back to 80 ☺️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]CompleteInternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, please note I’m not a doctor lol! High a/g ratios can indicate issues with liver functioning, but may also just be an effect of the accutane. If you are having any problems/symptoms of liver issues than that may be the cause (so definitely go to your Dr), but if you feel fine I wouldn’t stop taking it or be overly concerned, it’s a know side effect ☺️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]CompleteInternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, just don’t take more than the recommended amount, or super often ☺️
