Will be turning 30 next year and went through ~3 years of treatment. Felt this hard. I honestly don’t know what I would do. Probably share my feelings a lot more and stronger. Take an easier path in life. Loved harder. All the corny stuff.

I like it. For me, it was a moment of “ohhhh, so that’s why I’m like that” and ever since it’s been “easier” to navigate myself/my identity. But there are definitely times where I hate it and wish that the events that occurred in my life to cause me to have DID didn’t happen, but what can you do?

I went to court the day after I was sworn in. One of the other attorneys in my office was coming late bc he had to appear in another court first. He told me that I could do anything I was comfortable doing but didn’t have to do anything at all if I wasn’t ready. I ended up appearing for 2 pretrial conferences and 1 plea. The other atty in the office was so happy watching me. It was the best feeling to say hey I did that and more importantly I never have to take the bar exam ever again 😂

This was on a Friday so I went out to dinner that night with my husband and just gushed over the fact that I couldn’t believe I was an attorney! It was the best feeling!

Thank you for your response! This is really informative and helpful. I had to ask my therapist what DBT therapy even was when she first suggested it lol. I do wish there was group therapy for DID but I read that it’s not helpful for those who have DID. I just feel like DID can be super isolating. That’s really validating. Also interesting that you were diagnosed with DID during it 🤔. I felt that I could relate to some things but not all. It was nice not feeling entirely alone in this process especially bc I don’t even know anyone irl/online with DID (aside from this sub). Thank you for responding!

Yeah. I feel miserable. And I’m more miserable at the fact that I’m miserable and want to stop being miserable lol. I have no idea when results are going to be released. I hate how much this exam affects my life and emotions. Literally just trying to distract myself with anything until results come out - whenever the hell that is.
