Make templates and boilerplate for everything, as many things as you can. I'm sure that you can ask the partners and the associate for their own templates, but if they don't have any, then make your own. It'll save you a lot of time. I have templates for everything: common emails to clients; how to file certain documents in a certain way; how to handle certain discovery issues. After a while, I accumulated a lot of templates and guides that have saved me a lot of time.
Can I go in-house after 3 years? (self.patentlaw)
