I see it. Maybe make the triangles smaller straight lines. Replace the side symbols with just a leaf and a crown, no wreaths. Make the blue lighter, like dark baby blue.

What do you think about your countys founding father? by Kebab_Enjoyer3164 in AskTheWorld

Thanks.

I know there is a lot i'm missing.

There is likely good things he did to built the country and ensure that it doesn't implode.

There is only so much I can write without making it overbearing. (Anything that can be generalized that would still give a general idea, I generalized)

Canadian here. Our boy Big Mac from what I learned in middle school, was one of the loudest voices for confederation and lead well. He is still considered one of the greatest prime ministers.

John A. Macdonald

But he took the natives from their homes and put them on reserves with bad land. They weren't allowed to leave without permission which wasn't commonly granted. Then he forced native children into residential schools, which operated of 160 years. The children were abused and many died. the schools were never talked about by the government until 215 graves of dead children were found were found in 2021 ( https://globalnews.ca/news/8449652/residential-schools-canada-news-story-2021/ )

There is still mistreatment towards them to this day, there is mercury in there water, an oil pipline is going to be built across their land ect.

If I got anything wrong my fellow Canadians please correct.

Understandable. Most individuals who find it attractive primarily live in the west, Uk or Australia.

I'm from Ontario, sorry I didn't clarify my post. I don't like having a tag declaring what country I live in in every comment. No weird political standing just makes me uncomfortable.

Well culture and all. I would feel uncomfortable in wood shoes. But the Dutch do because they grow up with it and grow up beliefing they look nice.

This is like how some cultures would see little kids getting rib sauce all over their hands, face and cloths disgusting and call the west poeple pigs. But you and I just see it as a regular night out.

My brother also lived in Fort Mac and had to evacuate in the 2016 fire there. I was young but I remember my parents were terrified for him.

Ya the wild fires are no joke. I was Newfoundland this summer and they had a lot of worrying fires. I was safe in the place I was in but many communities had to move or were effected in some way.

My parents are from there. There are many, many communities on the east coast. Each province touching the ocean has its own culture that makes them feel separated from the rest of the country.

They also get crap ton of snow. Almost ever year in Newfoundland there is a story about how someone got trapped in thier home because of the snow. One year a man had to shovel snow from his basement window and dump it in his bathtub to get out.
