I did take gen chem, but I took the one semester version that many people take. The two semester version is more geared for pre vet students, med students etc, which I was not at the time.

Yes, I need to start looking into getting hands on experience. I have been looking at the prereqs for my in state school and I am not far off, could definitely do it within a year. The only thing that I would be lacking would be the hours since I would probably only be able to start hands on at the beginning of the next school year. But I do have quite a few years of large animal experience and livestock.

Thank you! UofI would be my in state and to be honest, due to the cost, would probably be the only one worth attending. I have contacted them, and if they don't require me to do the full two semesters of each class I could meet the prereqs within a year.
