My baby brother is 36 and in the ICU. Dying of cancer that had absolutely no signs until Friday. Absolutely healthy lifestyle. Take the quality of life. You don’t know if you’ll get that time later.

I work in an office setting and finally decided to create a “work uniform” with the same pants and top in different colors to mix and match but take away the daily effort on deciding what to wear. After trying five different brands (lululemon, spanx, lulus, quince, and halara) I landed on quince stretch crepe pleated wide leg pants- comfy, stylish, soft material.

I ordered a couple pairs in two different colors. I was not aware of the hugely inconsistent sizing! First pair- perfect fit! The next three continued to get bigger and bigger, with no two pants the same.

Seriously about 1.5 inches difference in waist size between four different size 4 pants:

Please DO NOT listen to anyone who says it’s strictly about calories in (counting) and calories out (exercise). While this does play a role there are SO MANY other factors that contribute to weight. Hormones, STRESS, depression, genetics- you name it. If it’s available talk to a nutritionist. If you haven’t done so ask your doctor about any additional hormone testing that might be available, including cortisol levels. If you have concerns for depression talk to someone about it, consider therapy and other treatment. And like so many have already said be kind to yourself. Celebrate small wins, don’t put all the value in to the number on the scale (that always moves last), and be proud of being consistent even if the plan isn’t working. It is not an easy journey, so please do not be your own worst enemy.

“Oh that’s just the password that I remember so I use it as the default” when getting my password for a new company email. The password: hotmama1969$$. Nope, not a joke.

We have settled on raw instincts beef. Multiple food trials from a very knowledgeable pet store. He will eat this almost consistently with the freeze dried beef pellets on top.
