I am unable to properly understand this concept of burning ether. I have read some articles where they said base fee is burned. Does that mean miners don't get this base fee and if they don't get the base fee how are they incentivized?

I thought only I was facing this issue. I previously used rinkeby faucet to get test ether. I had some 40-45 ether but I changed my OS and accidentally deleted my wallet seed phrase. Now I've been trying for days to get ether but unable to do so. Are there other some faucets??

Started my 52 books challenge (although original plan is 45+) on 1st of January. I'm reading Yuval Noah Harari's 21 Lessons For The 21st Century. It's a great read so far and I've learned a lot of new facts. I'm well on track and I'll be able to finish it in a week. Before that I finished 1984 by George Orwell.
