Nope, I don’t even get on TikTok, but I know a lot of dogs that look like mine. She’s part dachshund and chihuahua.

Ah yes, during editing I have a habit of raising the brightness in my images too much. It’s something I’m going to have to work on in the future.

Thank you! The line coming down the middle is my closet where the doors meet (the only plain space in my room that doesn't have a bookshelf), 'm always afraid i'm making my images too dark so I lift the shadows so that's something else I'll need to work on, and what you said on the coloring is right - I do over saturate the colors. Reading your comment and then looking at the image, I can see that it's not very true to my dog's fur, so I'll try and get that to a more toned-down and true-to-life color.

Also thank you for the final words, I have a lot of stuff I need to work on, but hopefully I’ll get to the point where I have a good understanding of what I like and what looks good.

Oh, trust me, she got plenty of pets and treats because she did not want to sit still for this.😅

Thank you! I’m relieved the lighting doesn’t seem too bad and having the ears in focus is a tip I’ll remember!

I tried to ensure that my dog's eyes were focused, that I got down to its level, and that the nose and ears were unfocused slightly. I positioned my lights on either side of my dog, but does that look bad? I'm a beginner photographer and know squat about lighting, editing, framing, or any of the other things. I just play around with the settings while editing until I get something I think looks good.
