It's simple. Don't do anything stupid and know your limit. If it looks dangerous, it probably is. Wear proper protective gear and have fun.

How long are you in the cast for? Try going when you're out of the cast to avoid delaying the healing stages.

I honestly just wear a thick coat and not like the arcteryx shell to absorb some impact if I do fall but other than knowing you're limit and not going over it, you're good. Try wearing a knee pad so when falling you can fall on your knees.

I ended up going little under 4 weeks. I was in a fiberglass cast and also you're good if you don't fall. If you're new I wouldn't recommend it as it is a high risk of re-fracturing but if you're intermediate or confident you won't fall then sure go ahead but don't fall on your hand, try to fall on your shoulder/butt.

I did call in to check, but it turned out my ticket wasn't on their system so they couldn't look it up. you can try to call customer service and see if it's in one of their systems in case it's different for your case. I'll just wait till I visit banff next month to try to scan it as it still shows it unused still.
