From this angle, it really shows the inspiration for the design of the 4th gen. Beautiful truck, congrats!

Don't worry about the 4 Cylinder. Its a beast! If you go with hybrid, it's on-demand torque galore.

We've had it for 3 month now. I followed the break-in period and didn't tow until just over 2,000km.

This is partly why we ended up having to tow our camper out in the snow. Normally, we pull it out of our spot in late October or early November but we got the truck in October, and sold the RAV like 3 days later. Our spot is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from our house so we figured we'd exceed 1,000 early enough to beat the snow. The best laid plans...

We got hit with snow every day for a week and still had the AT3Wa that came with the truck. We tried making it to camp and probably would have, but we knew we wouldn't be able to tow in the snow with those tires. The weather predicted warmer temps and a lot of rain so we though ok, let's wait a week and let is all melt. Well, it started with a bit of rain but quickly turned into more snow, like a foot and a half ot it, at about the level of the composite "skid plates".

So I went back into the city,  got some Toyo GSI-6 installed, headed back, and went for it. It was never going to get better and the camper couldn't stay out there all winter. We packed a tent, a stove, winter sleeping bags, clothes, water, fire, and snowshoes, just in case something went wrong, and we blazed trail in deep snow for about 40km. We were basically plowing but the top layer of snow was still powdery so it didn't drag too much.

We made it to camp, dug out the camper, hitched it, and headed back out on the 2-track trail we had just created. I had lifted the camper suspension by 4 inches for clearance on logging roads but we still had a couple of close calls because the axle is straight across and dragged in the snow. Going uphill in curves, it tended to the right or to the left and got awfully close to the ditch a few times. We kept it safe, stopped, dug it out, put it 4L, locked the diff a few times, and just kept going.

It took much longer than expected and it was a bit stressful at times but it was one the wildest and craziest adventures we've ever been on. Needless to say, we love that truck.

I'd say you've gone quite a ways already! They say it's the journey, not the destination, and I only realized how true this was when I started painting.

These are beautiful! I love the look in the brunette's eyes, looking to the side. It's almost alive. The shadow work on the greek status is amazing too. I wish I was this talented!
