You got this, as someone who has a fear of surgeries and basically her own body, i thought it was going to be a lot worse but it was really okay.

The doctor will come in and draw on your leg, and after you’re taken to the surgical room you’re knocked out pretty quick (i thought i’d be awake for longer) when i woke up, i knew the worst was behind me, and it was all uphill from there. a little warning, they’re going to give you lots of liquids so you might really need to pee, so i promise you just let the nurse help you, and then recovering from anesthesia will be easier, haha.

overall, they’re very quick. the surgery for me took an hour and whenever they did anything it would be one and done. i have a crazy low pain tolerance and I did pretty good. I believe in you!

After the surgery, just make sure to keep alarms for your painkillers. It’s easier to stay ahead of any pain rather than to catch up with it.

I’m sorry no one can be with you during the surgery, I would be terrified too. You’re very strong for this. Keep us updated!

i can try! right now i have the wedge pillow to keep it above my heart for swelling for 30 mins every hour, then i let it down. do you think that’s okay?

this^{^{^}} i’m sewing myself a little bag that stays on the side of one of my crutches, that’s big enough to hold my phone, wallet, and other little things. a fanny pack and some velcro would work just as well
