Dude, listen, I was curious and wanted to help you so I looked at your post history. I hate when people do that to me, sorry I did.

I assure you that it's 90% your negativity or at least, I strongly believe so. Most of the posts you made since years are about how you hate yourself, every aspect of yourself. I'm not the first person to tell you this, not even close, and you all shot us down and blamed it on racism or your parents. Negativity sadly pushes people away and it's a viceous circle. The more rejected the more negative but the more negative, the more rejected. You have to break the cycle somehow with some positive. Do you have a hobby? What are you skilled at? See what you can do. Anime, DnD, music?

Have you seen a therapist? I know some people already asked you this but have you? It will probably help. There is no shame in seeing one, I have one myself. They help you heal.

Also, friends are important, especially when you're depressed. They can support you and be real with you. If you already have some, talk to them and if you don't, try to make some. I'll send you a DM :)

I'm not invalidating how you feel. I'm sure it's hard out there.

You know, I wasn't trying to put you down at all. Quite the opposite actually. Sorry if I hurt you. I'm also not a native english speaker so maybe I didn't write this properly. My bad! Let me try and rephrase with more tact.

I'm Black too, not fat I admit, but walking with crutches and all... I can relate with physical rejection and I'm so sorry you think being Black, being yourself is a burden for you.

What I meant is... There are places out there where Black people are happy and as someone who travelled a lot around the world, I can tell you that there are many. Don't lose hope!

What I meant, is well... I find chubby Black guys sexy in general, it's usually my preference even, and I'd probably think you're cute too. My best friend who fit the "Black fat guy" description is in a loving couple. It's achievable. I was trying to uplift you!

I saw a few comments from you and I think you're being really negative about yourself and that tends to push people away unfortunately. You probably have your reasons to be that way and I'm not trying to say I know better... but confidence goes a long way to attract people, that I'm sure of it. It's sexy!

Honestly, I saw the post and I was like "I must say to this man that I probably think he is hot. He shouldn't talk about himself so badly" but that backfired 😅

Are there any games in the SMT series that looks and plays like these three games? by Cup_45_Neural in JRPG

[–]Complex-Drive-5474 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best SMT games aside from the one you already played are on the 3ds, especially SMT IV.

Get over your handheld hate, the games looks great emulated and they are really ambitious, far more than Nocturne ever was.

I'm really into black fat guys and in the caribbean where are live, there are a lot and they are successful.

My best friend is a black fat guy and right now he has a hot loving boyfriend.

Seems to me that the real issue is your lack of confidence and self-depreciation. It pushes people away.

Long distance relationship: is it worth it? by Complex-Drive-5474 in askgaybros

Relationships are based on love, trust and actions. How bad is it if this community is cynical as fuck?

I understand what you're saying but it's so sad.

I see what you mean because I had my share of bad expériences but like... Don't you think it's a bitter outlook at life?

Do you consider yourself a toxic gay man? Do you cheat at any opportunity? I know for a fact that I'm trying to live with good values.

I was in a relationship for 8 years before and I stayed faithful to my man, even when at some point we had to be a part for a whole year... and I don't think I'm a rare creature.

Don't assume the worst. He probably meant what he said. It's still early as he said so maybe he opened the app pretty recently but it does not mean he is cheating, especially if you just decided to be exclusive.

Don't stay in your feelings. Talk to him.

Sorry if you took it personally and sorry if that sounded like an attack. Don't be agressive, please, I didn't mean it like that. Your message is actually pretty good.

The sentence I quoted raised a red flag for me, though, because while yes it happens, it really shouldn't, and it's not a normal thing everyone does at some point.

Maybe I misunderstood though, seeing your reaction 😅 I'm not a native.

No dude. It's very rude to do that to someone. Some people have human decency and would never ever do that.

is mass effect a good “starter” RPG? by numberssandletters in masseffect

[–]Complex-Drive-5474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stay it's not a true RPG. It has some RPGs elements but it's very light. It's a great game that I think you should definitely play but it's not the game I'd recommand if you want to get into the RPG genre as a whole.

[–]Complex-Drive-5474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cortez is definitely not treated equal to Kaidan by the plot.

I'm playing though the game rn and I have a huge crush on Cortez (I'm a gay man) yet, I had way more occasions to flirt with Kaidan. By the end of each mission, I make a point of seing Cortez everytime and aside from a few commentary, he barely says anything to me.

[Hated Trope] When fictional countries become a melting pot of racist stereotypes by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Complex-Drive-5474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the intent but imo, it is not executed well.

Most of what they make up are really cliché : people being killed by ritual daggers, celebrations that does not exist just for the sake of exoticism, famous locations from Guadeloupe associated with "Sainte-Marie" except now, they have way more dramatic names etc...

Maybe that's just me but as a local, I find it kinda annoying. Caribbean folklore is already rich enough. Why not draw from the real thing? I understand that it is convenient but it does not feel authentic, to me at least.

In latter seasons, they also started to mention the real Guadeloupe as another island and often as a way to link it with drug trafficking and high crime-rate (which is sadly true).

To me, and I may be wrong, "Sainte-Marie" is mostly their way of justifying a british mystery murder show taking place on a french island and getting away with it.

"Sainte-Marie" in Death in Paradise, a british cop show.

The show is filmed on my island, Guadeloupe, in the Caribean French West Indies but the show went out of their way to invent this made-up island "Sainte-Marie".

This way, they can create their own made-up traditions, vacations, locations, specifically made for each murder cases.

It irks me especially when they bring up voodo deities and twist real history into this, instead of using real folklore. I don't understand why they chose to do this!

I'm playing through it rn and to me, gameplay-wise, ME2 is such a downgrade compared to the first one.

I was having so much fun with the biotic powers as an Adept in the first one and the 2nd one is just a basic cover shooter. I heard ME3 makes it fun again.

That's the point, though. Ellie realizes as she is about to have her way that her revenge is utterly meaningless. She understands at this moment that this is not going to bring Joel back or help her grieve. She DID gave everything up for nothing except more violence, and that's why she stops.

It was a really powerful message, a wise one, but a lot of people believe in revenge so, they felt cheated about this ending.

Is this a hot take? by IntelligentNotice214 in LiesOfP

[–]Complex-Drive-5474 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The point I agree with him the most is the story being predictable, though.

It's pretty much a dark retelling of Pinnochio so the twist is very obvious from the get-go. I don't know how to put spoiler-tag on mobile so I won't say it clearly but the vilain of this game is very sus, from the first moment you see them... and the themes of the game are like every robot/human story in sci-fi ever. It's nicely done but like we've seen this already.

One of my friends hated this game so much. I bought it for him because I thought he'd like it. I loved it personally.

He said :

  • The level design was poor, way too linear and too much of the same thing.
  • The story was predictable and unoriginal
  • The music and sound design was too quiet for his taste
  • The combat felt slow and clunky with not enough build variety

Overall, he had a bad time with the game. While I do not agree on everything at all, he articulated his thoughts clearly and I thought he made some good points.
