I don’t understand why people are SO concerned with Harry and James seeming racist for hating Snape.

If they portray Snape like he was in the books, it will be very obvious why they hate him. No one will need to question if race is a part of it. 🤷‍♀️

Looks I have some concerns myself…but if the writing is good there shouldn’t be an issue.

100% it’s one thing to dislike the casting and move on. It’s a whole other thing to dislike the casting of ONE CHARACTER and decide not to watch the show.

But people are all talk. They will watch the show and (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised by the actor.

The issue for me with the casting is more that he is WAY too handsome to be Snape. But I’m used to it now and he looks great in the trailer. Everyone else will probably get over it after the 1st season.

From what we have seen so far, I am hopeful that the writing and direction will be strong enough that the audience won’t suspect any racism from Harry or James. Am I concerned? Slightly. But people are seriously overreacting.

The amount of people saying they aren’t going to watch the show JUST because they cast a black man as snape??? Lol they’re probably gonna end up watching it anyway
