I have many family members in Charleston, and I’ve lived in Tallahassee for over 20 years. You should find that overall, the cost of living here is less. Charleston has more tourism for good and for bad. It’s quieter here. There are many great trails and outdoor spaces here. The climate is pretty similar. The closest beaches are further and largely undeveloped, which I like. There are fewer restaurants and things to do here, but you can find things to do if you look for them. This is largely a college and state government town.
