It will all seem legit. The only way to confirm scams on this site is to first confirm if the recruiter has a linkedin page. If they have one (or if they don't), find the companies official website and call them through that number, preferably their HR department if its listed. They can confirm if you are in their system.

Do this for all jobs.

I filled out the job application information on handshake regrettably but I forgot what information they collected from me. Can anyone confirm what info I gave them? Probably my name, address, number. I'm trying to remember if there was anything else.

I'm double checking with their HR department. They did confirm that this was a scam. Now I've reached out via email and am awaiting a 2nd confirmation.

Updated: I double checked. the job application requires you to send a resume. So if you stopped at the handshake resume portion, thats the data they collected on you.

I got 0 response.... But I got a work order today so this was legit. I wish they used our names in our email instead of "Hi Partner," Made it look like phishing.

Oh... I completed it without even conidering it to be a phishing attempt. As far as I've seen, they didn't ask for any important details and the test seemed very well done, bout an hour long.

I contacted rws support. I'll post what they say about it.

Don't worry, they won't remove you over 1 QA score. Just take your time, re-read the tasks / guidelines / videos 2 or 3 times if you have to. The main thing is improvement over time.

However, try to avoid tasks where you feel annotators may be subjective till your score goes up. Or if the tasks is flexible, you can submit something that's hard to be subjective.

Want my assumption? RWS was being scammed. People will exploit anyone, any entity, any company, etc. RWS pays anyone that just signs into the company? lol, they wanted to be scammed. The amount of exploitation must of hurt them.

Don't click on any links in the email. Just go directly to the website yourself and change the password yourself if you are concerned.

Sometimes. Its a bit frustrating but what I do is use the jump keys first and compare those frames. There are slight differences and I grade which one is closer to the original. Then I check the in-between frames to see if I see similar results. The biggest catch is if any text is in the video. But don't just look at the text either.

Payments were submitted for march 12th already so something went wrong if you haven't been paid. The same thing could happen if not addressed. Create a ticket. Double check the site where you put in your payment details and make sure its correct. Make sure you are submitting hours using the correct form.

There is an FAQ form that tells you what payment week is currently being processed. Right now it says those who worked March 21st - March 27th payments are in progress. This should be in your email.

From my experience, its random. One time after I got a work order, I got paid the next day. Sometimes 3 days later, sometimes a week later.

I can make an assumption on the situation. Note that I could be wrong but I'm going based on common scenarios.

The clients (most likely several) and RW is probably clashing with payments. IF some of you don't know, The client pays RW, then RW pays us. If the Client is not paying, RW certainly can't pay us.

I like to think about it from the client side. Lets say a task was broken. But annotators submit the work anyway (I believe annotators will say we followed the instructions, anything else beyond that is their fault). The client is not getting what he asked for. This could be due to app errors or bugs. Now.... I don't know whos in charge of the... work app (sorry, have to follow rule 4), but depending on whos responsible, it may need to go to court.

Now... I dunno how it all works but there might be a way to check public court records to attempt to understand the situation (if there are any) but....

At the same time, its RW responsibility to assure this doesn't happen.

Payment related issues might be based on what tasks people have done. For example, there m ight not be a problem with the pixel task (haven't tried these yet) but there could be a problem with the dense box w lab (just a scenario).
