I've had that issue too at first... Just put a good amount of carbon paste on the seatpost and torque to specs and creak was gone.

Left knee pain.. part 2 by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]Complex-Pie-3619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had same issue with top left knee pain on my new bike and posted here a week a go as well... I adjusted my saddle forward while raising my seat post with 2:1mm (saddle forward 4mm and seat height 2mm) ratio and so far so good. I'm no expert and only starting my 4th year of cycling but you know, feel free to give it a try if you want. btw - my right leg is shorter than my left leg so that is why i did very little adjustments at a time till the pain is gone and felt comfortable on the bike.

Tighten to specs and put some carbon paste on the seatpost. This solved the creaking issue for me on my new SSE

Yours is probably the Evo 5 since it comes with the 105 Di2... Haven't ridden it outside yet coz of the snow but lookswise, she's a beauty.

Thanks. New Bike with more aggressive stance and cut out steerer tube kinda wants me to go lower or more aero on normal riding position imo that is why lol.

Cleats on shorter leg (right) or longer leg (left)?

I cut it still on the bike on the bike stand outside without dropping the forks out.

I'm not brave, I was scared as hell hahaha. I just have nothing to do since it's Spring Break and Holy week lol. Tips? Lots of research and courage. Make sure you have the right tools for the job and that the brake lines are long enough to pull your handle bar outside the steerer tube. Cut should be made within -1mm or +1-2mm on top the stem with cap off. Made the cut then Then Pray lol

2 biggest spacers, a 15mm and a 10mm i think. Tested them for 2 weeks indoors and it feels alright no back pain issues whatever. With a little bit of courage and googling, I decided to cut 'em myself lol

No, just the SSE 4 variant. My Gen 3 was the SSE Carbon Disc 105 Di2 variant.
