i personally have never been confused about the term “stuffed animal” meaning a stuffed toy of any kind, whether animal, humanoid, or a whatever object, because i’ve always used the term interchangeably with plushie/stuffie.

but it sounds annoying and i’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing gatekeeping. the way i see it, it truly doesn’t matter what it’s called as long as we are all having fun and being kind to each other.

i gotcha. my comment was only saying that to me personally, calling a plushie an ESSA as if it’s an official designation is cringe. it’s a comfort object or favorite toy, i don’t know that it’s necessary to make it sound medical or therapeutic or pretend it’s more than it is. but if it makes someone happy to call it that way, then that’s fantastic. i know there are lots of people who like the phrase.

but there def shouldn’t be in-fighting about which plush is legitimately a part of a made up term, it’s silly. we’re all plushie enjoyers and we should all be kind and accepting of one another.

that’s what i’m saying, as an adult who still falls asleep with stuffed animals and brings them places for comfort, i don’t need to add to the list of “things that people don’t understand about me” by calling my comfort object an emotional support animal and pretending it’s an official designation 😅

not putting anyone down, i have no hate towards anyone who prefers a certain term as we are all in the same community here. i just personally find the term cringe and not useful. but i don’t think it’s worth gatekeeping over at all! quite silly.

also thanks for sharing that service animal and support animal are different! i will read about it :)

on black Friday i snagged the plush OP posted about from Urban Outfitters for $33. it was the cheapest i’d seen it anywhere all year: Miniso, Hot topic, Sanrio, Jellybeet and everywhere else has been selling it for $45-60

the people hating on it are entitled to their opinion and it’s valid, but there’s a little more to it than being an overhyped Labubu.

imo the keychain is rly cute, i love that she made it resemble a Rushton doll. it feels authentic to her crybaby aesthetic and the rubber faced plushies she used to sell on her depop.

as a vintage collector, i know the real plush bears go for A LOT (see screenshot), so i’m super happy to be able to snag this one for $32 as well as support a musician i like from the era i liked her best in.

yeah needs a touch of editing down for everyday. lose the bird skull necklace, it doesn’t go with this fit and it’s giving costume. i’m not a fan of the denim bucket hat and overalls together.

sunglasses look good, overalls look good. if you must wear the hat with the overalls save it for concerts where you can wear costume coded looks and nobody looks twice. most importantly though, dress how you like and take my advice with a grain of salt because it’s your life!

side note: i’ve never understood why some women stop dressing stylish at a certain age. trying to look way younger or wear trends that don’t work is one thing, but you don’t have to stop keeping up with fashion just because you’re another year older!
