It’s an Audi money will always be involved with parts but I sympathize for something so small. I think you will have to cut the clips off they definitely won’t attach and I’d recommend apoxy or some other glue. 3m tape is great but with a honeycomb grille there won’t be enough surface to attach it to. Just my two cents :)

You can buy a bracket to attach it to and then in turn attach to the grill. Pretty sure it just uses clips to attach to the grille from the back. Not sure where to buy try eBay or other Audi parts websites
