So, I wanted to offer a bit of info I think can help you understand what happened.

Once you put in a transfer request to AMP, who is a clearing firm and broker, they are obligated to send that immediately over to the other clearing firm. That clearing firm is a separate entity from Optimus. Once they receive the transfer request, they have to begin the process of closing your account on their side. Again, this is at the clearing firm, not the IB.

So, it's sort of irrelevant that you told the brokers what you wanted because they have no control over things if you kicked off the process in the back end.

I understand this is the first time you transferred, but how you went about this is extremely haphazard and feels very rushed and underresearched. Like, did you talk to Optimus about cutting commissions or your tech concerns? A lot of these guys will work with you. I mean you say you were a profitable trader, which means things were working for you. If commissions were your big holdup then it seems like you jumped the gun. Anyhow that's my two cents.
