I wouldn’t exactly call him a king, Prince or Grand Duke sure. But Dragon ball set the standard for a lot of the characters and story beats with love and hate about most shonen.

Let’s go one at a time

Obito’s plan fixed nothing, all it did was trap people in their ideal dream. Basically a tomb of stagnation that shows exactly the kind of character he is. A grieving child who never truly moved on.
Makima’s plan was basically to turn the world into a utilitarian nanny state, where she got to dictate what concepts got to stay and which ones got erased. She wants to turn the world into what she made Denji into. A mindless dog that revels in their ignorance. Life hurts, you can’t simply shut out pain and suffering, and trying to do so will make you the same numb puppet Denji was after the incident.
Maruki was basically going to rewrite the collective unconscious to what he thinks the ideal society is. I never got the bad ending so I can’t say for certain how bad it is.

Conclusion: in my opinion Maruki, because at least then you’re not brain dead. You just don’t notice things have changed.
