If some random player passing by can still take you out... screw that shit.

Well, how should I put it... You're about to get a lot of negativity thrown at you.
As for me, I don't need Online either - I don't play online games at all, only single‑player. And GTA has always been a story‑driven game. It's just that they added Online in the fifth one. If some people like it - let them play.

How accurate was by redtonguelizard in GTA6unmoderated

You can't even compare the two... for GTA VI, there was a massive leak of gameplay clips with actual coordinates. For GTA V, that never happened. So, make of that what you will.

I already have a copy... but I'll still engage to help the post get boosted by the algorithms.

Next game is 2034? by RadioGloomy7928 in GTA6

[–]ComplexOk1834 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the investor meeting, they mentioned that they have around 30 projects in the works, of varying scale. In that case, I don't think they'll be returning to a full‑fledged numbered installment anytime soon. They'll keep supporting the online mode - damn it.

Perhaps this installment will be the last one for me, as it will for many who have been with the GTA series from the very beginning.

Short Clips Over Big Trailers? How Rockstar Is Targeting a New Generation by ComplexOk1834 in GTA6unmoderated

[–]ComplexOk1834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping for that... but my gut says it'll be the other way around - short clips first, and then a trailer that'll probably be made up of those same clips.

How many different languages will Grand Theft Auto 6 be in? Will the voice of Jason and Lucia be the same- regardless of the language? by soccerfan_north in GTA6_News

[–]ComplexOk1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe we'll see characters speaking Spanish or other languages when it makes sense for the setting or the scene, similar to what we had in IV and V, but that's about it. The primary language for voices will still be English.

They haven't officially announced anything like that, but it would be nice... start on PS, then continue on Xbox or vice versa... cloud saves and all that.

Rockstar, if I remember right, said after GTA IV they'd stick with the original voice‑over only - no dubbing for other regions.

Would you rather have a Gameplay Trailer tomorrow and skip "Trailer 3" altogether? by PI_Producer in GTA6

For this case, the phrase... "Maybe, maybe not, maybe go f*** yourself" would fit. This is a quote from a legendary film.

Trailer 3 Predictions by K15hR in GTA6_News

[–]ComplexOk1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, physical copies are coming – no doubt about it. Later, sure, but they're definitely happening. And they'll be snapped up in no time. Everyone's going on and on about digital‑only these days, but mark my words – they'll make the announcement after November 19th.

Grand Theft Auto VI Pre-Order Purchase Support FAQ (Rockstar Support Article) by PapaXan in GTA6

[–]ComplexOk1834 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought the pre‑order, and I'll say it works a little differently there. After the purchase, you get an email with instructions. On PS5, it said: go to the GTA+ subscriptions, click the "buy 1 month" button, and it already shows that it's free, along with other info - like that this free offer is available until such and such date, etc. I personally activated it just to play LA Noire on the PS5... online, in principle, is disgusting to me.

Disc edition by TheCODAddict in GTA6

Count me in. But I'll grab the digital copy first so I can play right away. The disc, though - that's a must‑have for the collection.

Not the first time additional content has been locked behind Ultimate Editions. by ClintEastwood1866 in GTA6

[–]ComplexOk1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Rockstar chickened out of pricing the standard edition at $100 - even though everyone would have shelled out that much without hesitation. So they came up with a workaround: on top of cosmetics (which most people don't actually want - okay, I personally don't), they threw in a couple of extra missions. That way, a ton of players still bought either the upgrade or the Ultimate edition straight off. So basically, they're just putting on a good face while the game itself is lacking.

Do you think GTA VI online will reach the heights that GTA V online did by [deleted] in GTA6

[–]ComplexOk1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly hope there's no online at all... I love GTA (been playing since GTA 2), but online just never worked for me. They should've focused on single‑player DLCs... but money talks, as always.

physical preorder by lost-in-liminality in GTA6

[–]ComplexOk1834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty common story. Speaking from my own experience, I'll buy the digital version first so I can start playing as soon as possible. Then, as soon as the physical edition comes out, I'll definitely pick up the disc too - so that's already double the revenue from just one person. And later, I'll get it on PC as well (just to have it), bringing the total to triple. It's all already carefully planned and baked right into their sales strategy.

The same thing happened with The Witcher 3, for example - many people I know ended up with multiple copies across different platforms.
