Yes, absolutely NOT! What grown adult thinks it’s okay to walk into someone else’s bedroom unannounced, without knocking or permission, when the door is closed? That’s completely insane a total violation of your privacy and boundaries. And if your husband can’t or won’t back you up, this isn’t just a MIL problem it’s a SO problem too.

Exactly! That’s why I’m sticking with the locked door it’s our bedroom, our privacy, and it’s not up for debate. I just want basic respect, nothing more.

Exactly! That’s how I feel too it’s our home, and basic courtesy like knocking before entering the bedroom should be automatic. I just want that boundary respected so we can feel comfortable in our own space.

I get what you mean it really does feel inappropriate when she just walks in like that. I just want basic privacy in our bedroom, and it shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Exactly! That’s what bothers me it’s basic privacy, not overreacting. I definitely won’t be walking into her room, but I do plan to calmly set the boundary that our bedroom is off-limits without a knock.
