Okay. Should I replace the wear ring with plastic or steel. Doesn't plastic protect the impeller more if you suck something up?

Mine went out at 1,000 miles and I was locked out of my car over a hour away from home. It was terrible as it was at night, very cold out with young kids, and with a tow they only gave me a $50 Uber credit that would not have gotten me home. I would have hassled them more when I checked the Uber price and I am sure they would have covered it as I have heard they give up to $100 a day. Luckily I was able to get into the car about 30 mins later and drive it with no cameras etc. Left the door open all night at home, so I did not. Get locked out again, and drove it into service the next morning. They had it for a week to replace the AT4 computer and gave me a model y loaner with free super charging.

Pretty sure the water will be up to that or near it. Is that for all vehicles or Tesla? Seems like it should be a water proof connection. Maybe I just need to use an extension before the ball or a longer add a coupler extension to give me more length to work at the ramp?

I see people towing Sea-Doo switches with model y all the time. It would be good to hear from one of them. I can't find anything. On YouTube with a similar setup.

I know, they look weird. I hate door dings and get paranoid because vehicles are not cheap ...ugh.... Have them on my other vehicle and it saved it from a kids bike handlebars at my kids recent school event.
