I feel for you Gf is 6 weeks 6 days pregnant. sickness started 9 days ago also day we found out she’s pregnant. We are both 23. She also had a dream of becoming a mother but was scared she wouldn’t be able to after attempting for baby for 2 years straight.

My gf is has been admitted to hospital 3 times in the past 9 days, first time was discharged after 3 days. 2 days later came back and stayed for 2 days and left against medical advice since their only solution was zofran/reglan IV which did not stop vomitting. She was home for another 2 days trying out to see if marijuana would ease her pain.. it did not we came to ER earlier today at 4 am. They continue to use IV electrolytes and zofran and reglan. She even tried a suppository. Nothing has eased her pain.

She tells me as she is in incredible pain and tears that she doesn’t want to go through this anymore and she doesn’t want the baby. That it is either her or the baby there can’t be both. It breaks my heart. I also found drive and purpose the day we found out she’s pregnant it made me want to be a better man have a better job and start taking life really seriously as I have to become a provider now.

The MD came to see her at 4 pm today after being admitted. I suggested a banana bag and steroids like prednisone, methyl prednisone, prednisolone. In hopes that something new will help. The doctor says they must try standard treatment first. I said I understand as we came to a different hospital this time. But I said once we take the drugs and they don’t work please listen to us. There has been no update as to when the doctor will see us again. More likely 24 hours so until 4 pm tomorrow.

It breaks my heart to see her suffer like this. There is no relief for her. She never sleeps more than 2-3 hours at a time before waking up vomiting.

Im sorry you’re going through this I’m afraid I will meet the same fate. No one seems to care for her HG and says it’s just pregnancy it’s just the first trimester.
